Austin slept for 7 consecutive hours!!!

Last night was glorious - the baby slept, and slept, and slept some more: all the way to 6 a.m., when I couldn't take the soreness anymore and had to wake him up to feed him (ouch!). Never mind that I woke up on my own three or four times during the night to make sure he was still breathing/hadn't been kidnapped, or that by the time I lifted him out of his bassinet at 6 I could have filled a gallon jug - SEVEN HOURS!

Not sure if last night was just a fluke or if this will be his new routine. I'll still have to get up once during the night either way, whether it is to feed him or to pump a bottle. But just knowing that 7 uninterrupted hours possible is just so amazing to me. Three months old. He's such a great baby.

Some other baby news:

- he usually eats 6-7 times a day, about 5 oz with each bottle and a probably a little less when I feed him myself
- he's nearly 14 lbs and at least 24 inches (though that it was a month ago that he was last measured, so he's probably longer. We have a scale, so the weight is current.)
- he is just starting to move into 3-6 month clothes, but some are still a little too big
- he coos and makes a half-laugh sound, and smiles all the time
- his head/neck is very strong and he now prefers to sit up or lean rather than lay down all the time. He also really enjoys tummy time.
- he's wearing size 2 diapers now
- his hands are always in his mouth
- Theseus thinks he may have spotted a tooth?

If I wasn't so exhausted I would be seething with jealousy. Last night was especially rough but normally I'm up at least 4 times. STILL. she is 6 months old for petes sake!

Any way, nice job sleeping baby! Keep up the good work. :-)

Well, perhaps I should not have celebrated so loudly; the baby screamed - SCREAMED - all afternoon and evening today. He's screaming right now. Is he too hot? Is it teeth? Does he hate us? Who knows? :(
