Here was my list for today (Tuesday):

- wash all my vacation laundry CHECK
- dishes CHECK
- sweep out my bathroom
- wrap presents, hide (from cats) in spare bedroom closet
- finalize Christmas shopping HALF-CHECK
- get a package off to Theseus CHECK
- homework CHECK

Ok, so 4.5 out of 7 isn't bad (it's kind of bad). At least I did stuff.

I was going to sleep in, but turns out I have to take Mushroom to the vet for 10:00. But this is good - after tomorrow he'll be ready to go to PetSmart. Hopefully they'll have a cage for him before the holiday; we had such luck with Marshmallow - he was adopted just one week after I dropped him off. And I'm sure Mushroom will be adopted just as quickly.

A potential disaster at the airport turned out to be no trouble at all - a delay meant I would have missed my connection, but the connection was also delayed, so I made it onto the plane in time.

Did not throw up on the plane (awesome!!).

Found my car in the long-term lot within 5 minutes (helps when you write down where you parked your car...).

No traffic on the ride home.

House is in one piece - no obvious cat mischief, plants are all still alive.

Now time for a cup of tea, a little tv and then bed. I'll write a better post tomorrow. :)

Answer: yes

Also - more leggings, scarves and fun hats

:)

UPDATE: bought a new pair of shoes for Florida, plus a fun hat and matching gloves and scarf. Brought home tomato soup from Panera for dinner. Life is good.

There's a freakin' dance party going on in there.

I can see the light at the end of the fall-semester tunnel. Four more weeks!

I think I mentioned before that I'd registered for the spring already; looking back at my selections and comparing them with my program requirements, I realized I'd made a mistake with the social science class I'd picked. I dropped it, and luckily there was still time to get into the one I actually needed. No lie, there was one available seat left in the class. It's mine. All is right in the world again.

Well, I didn't mean for this to turn into a cat blog - I do have a life outside of the cats, I swear! - but lately they have been taking up a lot of my time. The two technicians at the vet who share receptionist responsibilities know my voice when I call and no longer ask for my name. Yikes.

I debated for awhile whether I should post this or not, seeing as my blog is usually pretty lukewarm. But maybe this can balance out some of the boring "look at me, I acted like an grown-up today" posts, and, well - this is my blog, I don't want to censor myself. And yesterday I was angry. So here it is (kind of long).

Halfway done! :D
... still halfway to go. :(

I got a lot done today, I think.
