These are not good enough for their own posts, so I'm lumping them together. Enjoy this mish-mash!

- So I had my first two Spring classes today - English and Algebra (the final level of Algebra-for-fourth-graders; I'm not kidding, that's how bad I am at math). My English teacher is about 100 years old and completely crazy. He told us today women don't need to worry about progressing their careers, because there's no real need - their husbands have careers. It wouldn't be very lady-like of me to write what was going through my head after he said that.

My Algebra teacher, on the other hand, is probably only 3 or 4 years older than I am and it is clear how uncomfortable he is teaching people who are so close to his age. It's ok, dude. The fact that I'm so stupid that I have to take your class makes me uncomfortable, too.

- I was starting to get crazy about sending out the thank you cards from the baby shower, really feeling like a slacker/loser for taking so long (I am very, very serious about thank you cards). But then I just looked at a calendar - it's only been 9 days since the shower! Already, though, it feels like two lifetimes have passed. In any case, I filled out half of the cards and they will go in the mail tomorrow. The rest I will get out by the end of the week. I understand writing thank you cards might be a dying art, but I will never let go!

- Very much done with this winter and all its shenanigans. I checked the weather last night and it said I was supposed to get a rain/snow mix tonight into tomorrow, temp in the high 30s, no big deal. Today after school I checked it again, and the snow storm (yes, snow storm!) is coming tomorrow afternoon into Thursday and dropping 6-10 inches of snow. I don't have time for this! Get your act together, Old Man Winter!

- I'll be on the Martha Stewart Show in two weeks!! Well, I won't really be on the show exactly - unfortunately, Martha declined my offer to be her guest (we were going to make boxed macaroni and cheese, because that's all I know how to make) but she did say I am allowed to sit in the audience. As long as I don't wear black, brown or grey or any prints or ugly shoes (this part was actually in the confirmation email, no lie). Also I can't try to bring her a gift. But that's ok, her loss (the gift was going to be boxed macaroni and cheese!). J, Mer and I are going to have a freakin blast.

- And finally, who wants to bring me some fudge?

I have to be comletely honest with you - I'm somewhat upset about the shower thing. I understand the reasons why it was small and family only, but had I known that I would have organized another one for you that your many friends back up here could have participated in. And I know you have many, many friends so I can't be the ONLY one who feels this way. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to get stamps to send out what we discussed, I had another thought that I will Facebook to you and see what you think of it.
