Today is making me feel very blah. It's cold and damp and monochrome. I'm thirsty but I don't even have the motivation to get out of the chair and walk to the kitchen. If this day were a person, it would be a vampire. Etc, etc.

Saw the OB again this morning - he pressed on me and said the baby is in the head-down position and that everything is going great. "Not much longer now," he said, as if the next three weeks aren't going to last an eternity. This was my last bi-weekly appointment; I'm on weekly appointments from here on out, so that's good.

Other than that, a pretty boring day. Drank some hot chocolate. Planted cabbage and soy bean seeds. Talked to Theseus. Fed and rotated the compost bin.

For the rest of the day: maybe laundry, maybe some Anthropology work, maybe a nap.

Not away in real life, but away from this blog (but you already knew that). I did try to post something yesterday, but Weebly (my blog host) wasn't working and I couldn't log in. Before that I was working on a mini-journal post of my first week without shampoo, but then it got too boring so I scrapped it.

The cliff-notes version of my shampoo-less week: awesome. It's now been 11 days without shampoo; I'm never going back!

What else did I do?

My brain is exhausted. I've been smushing Anthropology course-work into it at a lightening pace - remember how I felt during my 8-day Bio course? Yep. Except Anthropology is 7 weeks (I'm in week 2). It's a distance learning course, so at least I don't have to sit in class for it.

I've had four quizzes on the material so far: two 90s and two 100s. Meh. I just feel like complaining. It'll all be fine. I just haven't felt so mentally tired in a long time.

Sorry this post is so crappy. Here's a cute animation of a cat to make up for it! This is also an explanation to anyone wondering why I didn't put up a Christmas tree this year.

Here, there, everywhere; I was doing a little of this, a little of that. I had places to go, people to see. I was running around like a chicken without a head.

I was late, I was late, for a very important date - no time to say hello/goodbye, I was late, I was late, I was late!

No, really.

Soup again? Ok, sounds good.

Wegmans Tomato Basil with Orzo Soup is the best!!

I should also think about packing, too, I guess.

This will be short because it's nearly 10 p.m. and I still have a lot to do before I can go to bed. And as usual, it's my own fault for trying to juggle too many things and procrastinating a great deal in between. I can really only do one or the other: lots of things or procrastinate. Not both. But I always do. And so here I am. :(

Tipped over another glass of water in the living room.

Kitchen trash bag tore open as I was carrying it outside.

School counselor told me I cannot test out of the next (and final) level of non-credit Algebra, so I have to take it next semester. More time wasted.

Everything I ate tasted like the color beige.

Accidently bought non-clumping cat litter, because it was cheaper and I didn't look closely at the packaging.

It is nearly 7:30 p.m. and I still have at least 3 hours of Religion reading left to do.

Graggggaaaagghhhh!

Ran out of cat food during the night and was woken by three hungry cats stepping on me, two hours before I actually had to get up.

Pouring and I still haven't bought an umbrella - drenched by the time I got into school.

Asked my favorite professor which history class he is teaching in the spring so I could try to take it, only to be told he is retiring after this semester.

Theseus was a giant grump on the phone.

Burned two bags of popcorn and then tipped over a full glass of water on the carpet.

Humph.

Today has been a blah day, just crawling along at a snail's pace. I'd planned on going shopping for some new sweaters (and maybe a fun hat) but I lost motivation about 15 minutes after I woke up.

I was also sick, too sick to finish Operation Dog's Breakfast and too sick to clean anything in the house (it's bad).

Some other things that happened since I was here last:

- my car was hit in a Panera Bread parking lot while I was getting out of it (car is fine, I am fine)

- finally picked up Theseus's Firebird from the auto repair shop (only 4 months after the accident)

- a family of 4 kittens and 1 momma moved into my back porch and left in the middle of the night without paying the rent

- started school (today was the first day). I managed to get lost trying to find my first class (stood outside the wrong room in the wrong building for 20 minutes, then realized it and ran to my real classroom, red-faced, and was berated by the (religion!!) teacher for being late), soak all of my books/notebooks when my water bottle opened up in my bag, and, oh, realized I purchased the wrong books for - you guessed it - religion class, so now not only do I have to buy another expensive book, I cannot return the SIX books I bought for the class, because they are all water damaged.

I have to go grump now. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
